 TILING MULTIPLE WINDOWS
  First double click the index page that we just saved to the desktop. Once it opens, resize it so that it takes up about a quarter of your screen. Now right click anywhere within that page and select view source. Once Notepad opens the second window, repeat the same steps as before to resize it.

Viewing multiple windows © (scren4) website design tipsYour desktop should now resemble the figure to the left. The top window is the index page that has one line of text reading, Our Index Page. The other window shows the source code that we typed earlier to create the page. Now right click anywhere on the task bar where there are no icons in the way. Select Tile Windows Horizontally from the menu. The two windows should tile, one above the other and fill the entire screen as shown in the figure below.

Now we can view both our code, and the actual web page as we work. In this figure you see the code in the top window and the web page below it. Be sure to click Save each time you add new code to the document. Then click the Refresh button on the window displaying the webpage.
 You must Save and Refresh each time, or your changes will not be seen! You can tile more than two windows at once if you have a large monitor. You can also choose tile windows vertical, or cascade, from the menu.
